Relative Adoption
I finally had to add Relative Adoption as a separate page. Here you will find support and legal information. There are many new laws which hopefully will support relatives adopting. So far there mainly are guidelines that some states must follow, but few real "grandparent" rights. A lot has been accomplished, but more needs to be done.

But first, I would like you to read a poem written by a mom of eight children. She adopted a sibling group of 3 children (3, 4, and 6), and wrote this "Letter to Santa." She gave me permission to copy it to my page. You can email her at: charly@itsnet.com

Adoptive FamiliesThis is very interactive site. It is meant to act as a forum for adoptive families to connect with one another and exchange ideas. Features include: an interactive book list-online book discussion group-an e-mail database of adoptive families that you can join or search, and soon: calendar of adoption-related events, conferences, and groups and a page of legal issues affecting adoptive families. There is also a section on Grandparents Parenting again.



Bulletin Board for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. This site offers "...support & information to all grandparents and others raising children."



GrandParent Again is a site "...to bring as much information regarding raising chldren to you." Special Education, Grandparent stories, support groups/chat area's, related links, even updated State Laws, are some of the other pages.

GrandsRuS is for grandparents and other relatives who are or have adopted their relative's child or children.

Off Our Rockers I love that name! This is another site for grandparents who are adopting their grand- children. I haven't checked it all out, but I assume it also is for other relatives, not just grandparents.

Grandparents Parenting...Again is a newer site for people who are adopting their relative's children.
