Future Reflections is a magazine for blind children, their families, friends and professionals. It has text only, and has past magazine articles as well. Great resource and encouragement for parents who have chldren who are blind.
Seedlings Braille Books for Children. My daughter, Janice, is 12 years old and totally blind. She loves getting her very own Braille books once a month in the mail. They cost the same as regular books. There is a shopping page which has names, summaries and the cost of the books. You can view the website with graphics, or text only.
National Federation of the Blind. There are lots of articles and information dealing with blindness. Some are: magazines, books, How do you see...questions kids ask, Guide Dogs, etc.

information on a great newsletter you can sign up for. Ron and
Penny Harness have a daughter who is blind. It's called "Our
Common Bond." Here is some of what Ron has to say: "...Raising
a child with special problems is one learning experience after
another. In our search for help, we were eagerly assisted by
medical professionals, therapists, family, strangers...actually
anyone with an opinion...no one can accomplish more for a child
than a parent who loves enough to fight for their child's rights.
